Privacy notice
Last updated: 12 October 2026
1. The short version
We collect as little as we can. Your account, Fizz and progress are stored in your own browser, not on our servers. We use no advertising or analytics trackers. The only personal data we receive is what you send us through the contact form or by email, plus the basic request logs every web server keeps.
2. Who is responsible
The controller of personal data processed through dogesoda.com is Muzzammil Media (Private) Limited, registered in Pakistan under SECP, CUIN: 0184739, registered office Street 6 D 322, Lahore 54100, Pakistan. You can reach us about anything in this notice at privacy@dogesoda.com. We handle personal data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
3. What stays on your device
These are saved in your browser's local storage and never sent to us:
| Item | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Your account | Email address, nickname, date of birth, nation of the UK, a salted PBKDF2 hash of your password and of your recovery code, Fizz balance, levels, round history, saved games and settings. |
| Age answer and storage choice | Whether you confirmed you are 18 or over, and whether you accepted or rejected optional storage. |
| Preferences (only if you accept) | Small choices such as your lobby view. |
Because this data never leaves your device, we cannot see it, change it or recover it. You can download or delete your account from your profile, and clearing your browser's site data removes all of it. Guests in demo mode have nothing stored at all.
4. What reaches us
- Contact messages: your name, email address, the topic and your message.
- Server logs: like every website, our host records technical details of each request, such as IP address, browser type, the page asked for and the time.
- Rate limiting: to stop abuse of the contact form we keep a one-way hash of your IP address with the times of recent messages, for one hour.
5. Why we use it
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Replying to your message | Our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us (Article 6(1)(f)) |
| Keeping the site secure and working | Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) |
| Keeping records we are required to keep | Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) |
We do not sell personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we make no automated decisions about you.
6. How long we keep it
Contact messages: up to 12 months after our last reply, then deleted. Rate-limit hashes: one hour. Server logs: kept by our host for a short period for security, normally no longer than 30 days.
7. Who else sees it
Our hosting provider stores the site and its logs on our behalf under a data processing agreement. If we are legally required to, we may share information with the authorities. Because we are based in Pakistan, personal data we receive may be accessed from there. We protect any such transfer from the UK with the safeguards UK GDPR requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
8. Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. For data stored in your browser you can do all of this yourself from your profile. For anything we hold, email privacy@dogesoda.com; we reply within one month.
9. Children
The site is for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.
10. Security
The site is served over HTTPS with strict security headers and loads no third-party code. Passwords and recovery codes are never stored as text, only as salted hashes. Contact messages are stored in a file that cannot be opened over the web.
11. Changes and complaints
We will update this notice if how we handle data changes; the date at the top shows the latest version. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
